To be able to confront the challenges of today’s world, every friar is called to mature as much spiritually as intellectually. However, in adherence to what is truly a hallmark of the Franciscan charism, friars choose to live in poverty, and this often hinders access to an academic education.

For this reason, Fondazione OFM Fraternitas supports the scholarship program aimed at ensuring access to academic study for friars from the poorest areas of the planet.

The scholarships enable friars to travel to Rome to complete their training, and thus return to the Franciscan communities a trained friar with the necessary skills to do good effectively.
