A construction site for inclusivity

The agricultural institute in Jécua, Mozambique, continues to grow, and every brick brings it closer to its goal: to offer as many young people as possible a quality education that will enable them to cultivate the land more effectively.

Following the completion of the boys’ dormitory, the friars are now working on the girls’ dormitory, a facility that will allow 60 girls from the Manica area to settle in a safe place for as long as it takes to develop new skills.

In a region where women are often forced to work from childhood and marry at a very young age, the Jécua women’s dormitory is a tool for social development of fundamental importance.
