The luxury of studying
Many young people in Madhavaram parish in India’s Andhra Pradesh region come from very poor families and do not have the opportunity to study, even though they are intelligent and talented.
In order to contribute to the survival of the family they perform all kinds of jobs, and their talents are wasted or ignored because even studying is considered an activity that only wealthy young people can access.
The problems they face on a daily basis mark the lives of these boys and girls, leading them to drop out of school, contract early marriages and live excluded from a society that offers them no hope for a decent future.

The youth center designed by the friars
The friars want to help the youth of Madhavaram through the establishment of an entertainment center that will provide stimulation for their growth.
The small and simple facility will be able to accommodate 50 youths from the parish, will include a library, a playground, and a program of workshops and activities for the multiple needs of the youths. By valuing their talents and passions, the friars will help the youth of Madhavaram to be formed and actively included in community life, so that they will not be left alone and exploited on the margins.
