Background<\/h3>\n

The floods that affected Pakistan throughout the month of August 2022 left over 1,100 dead and 1,600 injured. Sindh, in the south of the country, was the worst affected province in terms of human and infrastructural impact.<\/p>\n

Houses were destroyed, water flooded everything, flooding fields, destroying crops, and killing animals. It is estimated that more than 800,000 heads of livestock have been lost and many families, already very poor, have thus lost all sources of livelihood.<\/p>\n
