The tsunami that destroys villages<\/h3>\n

On Sept. 28, 2018, a powerful 7.5-magnitude earthquake struck the island of Sulawesi, triggering a tsunami that destroyed the capital city of Palu and the surrounding areas of Sigi and Donggala, resulting in a total of more than 4,300 deaths. Villages primarily devoted to fishing and agriculture were wiped out, along with infrastructure and all resources necessary for the communities’ very livelihood. <\/p>\n
