Background<\/h3>\n

The Democratic Republic of Congo, the second largest nation on the African continent, has suffered for decades from a condition of political and social instability that undermines the survival of the population itself. Thirty years of conflict have produced millions of casualties and hundreds of thousands of displaced people. The latter crowd vast and vulnerable refugee camps: attacks by forces vying for control of the country and its mineral resources do not stop even in the face of the misery of those who have lost everything. <\/span><\/p>\n
